India's first Oscar-winning designer Bhanu Athaiya dies

India's first Oscar winner Bhanu Athaiya died on Thursday at the age of 91.

She passed away in her sleep, her daughter was quoted as saying by ‘Times of India’. She had been suffering from a slight fever and cough for the past few days and was on anti-biotics.
