From Alia - Ranbir to Rajkummar Rao - Patralekhaa, Bollywood couples who said no to honeymoon, headed to the sets

The wedding seemed to be just another thing to do before you got on with life. Forget that it was an event attended by all the big wigs from the movie industry and dubbed ‘biggest celebrity wedding of the year’, for Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, when the wedding ceremony ended it was time to go back to work. Surprisingly, they aren’t the only ones to choose in favour of film sets. Here’s a look at actors who tied the knot, said no to the honeymoon and got back to the business of moviemaking.

Bhatt and Kapoor, two well-known actors, got married on April 14. On Sunday, hours after the ceremony Kapoor headed to the sets while Bhatt flew out of the city on Tuesday to film.

Rajkummar Rao married his girlfriend of many years, Patralekhaa, on November 15. As news of the nuptial made headlines, the couple quietly got back to the grind.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have often share pictures of their trips together. But they decided to skip travelling for a romantic honeymoon after getting married recently. Akhtar’s mother Honey Irani was reported as saying that the loved up couple preferred to stay put because the actor had work to do and because the COVID-19 situation hampered travel plans.

Still ‘newly-weds’ by all counts, Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain had a lavish wedding in December last year. It made headlines across regional and national entertainment media outlets. However, the couple have not yet gone on a honeymoon thought it’s been 4 months since their wedding. On the work front, the couple have been singing on a reality TV show, ‘Smart Jodi’ while enjoying their plush new home after the wedding.

Another couple who had to put off honeymoon plans due to work was Sheetal Thakur and Vikrant Massey. The acclaimed actor, known for movies such as ‘Haseen Dillruba’ and ‘Chhapaak’, had to get back to work just four days after getting hitched. He reportedly was working on ‘Gaslight’ with Sara Ali Khan and Chitrangda Singh.
