Pakistani pop singer Ali Zafar, who makes his Pakistani film debut with Teefa In Trouble on July 19, expressed his belief that truth would always prevail when asked about the sexual harassment allegations levelled against him.

“Whenever there is trouble in your life ... there’s a simple rule and fact. Believe in God and have faith. Believe that truth always prevails. When you are on the right side of the truth and when you are on the right side of history, nothing can hurt you,” said Zafar to Gulf News tabloid!.

In April, singer Meesha Shafi accused the singer of sexually harassing her, and after her post on social media a few more women came forward with similar allegations.

Zafar was in Dubai along with his Teefa In Trouble co-star Maya Ali and we took the pair out for brunch to Bombay Brasserie in Taj Dubai.

Zafar has acted, produced and written the dialogues for Teefa In Trouble.

“A film will have its own destination. This film is very special to me. We are confident that it will be well-liked,” said Zafar.
