Actress Bipasha Basu sports a simple and sombre look, with minimal jewellery and make-up for her role as a Maratha warrior in her first international film, Singularity.

Basu, who is usually seen looking glamorous in most of her films, has posted a picture from the movie on Twitter.

Though her complete look is not visible, the picture shows her wearing a red dupatta pulled over her head, an ornate neck piece and a maang-tika.

"My first ever period character. Tulaja, a Maratha bodyguard," Bipasha posted along with her picture.

The Bengali actress, who is currently in Australia filming with Hollywood actor Josh Hartnett, had earlier admitted to being nervous about the movie, which is being directed by English-French director Roland Joffé.

"I am very excited, but have to admit that I am also a little nervous," Basu had said.
