World Arabic Language Day celebrated

Sharjah: A celebration marking World Arabic Language Day has been held at Al Qasimia University in Sharjah.

During the event, the audience watched a special visual presentation entitled, “The Story of the World Arabic Language Day “ presented by Arabic Bureau of Education for Gulf States in Sharjah. Dr Rashad Salem, Vice-Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, hailed the efforts made by the UAE in general and Sharjah in particular to preserve the Arabic language. He also praised the efforts of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in safeguarding the Arabic language.
