Silvertown's work gets top magazine award

Abu Dhabi : The leading science magazine New Scientist has chosen An Orchard Invisible: A Natural History of Seeds by Jonathan Silvertown as the Best Science Book for 2009.

The book, translated by Kalima of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH), was published in Arabic and English simultaneously.

Silvertown's book adds to the list of distinguished books translated by Kalima in 2009. "These awards, won by books translated by Kalima, indicate the quality of works chosen for translation into Arabic. This has already attracted the attention of the world's media and critics," said Kalima's media officer.
