Chinese cultural extravaganza begins

Dubai: Prepare for a visual and audio fest that celebrates Chinese art and culture, starting today.

Organised by the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Dubai, and Zhongwei City, the two-day extravaganza will be held under the umbrella event titled, ‘The Cultural Days of China'.

Artistic troupes will demonstrate various forms of traditional Chinese culture.

On the first day, there will be a traditional and modern fashion show, and drinking Chinese tea show. On the second day, there will be an operetta, titled ‘The Marriage of Yousuf'.

The music and dance performances will be performed by the Zhongwei Song and Dance Ensemble that belongs to Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

The Foundation plays an integral role in promoting culture.
