UAE Minister: Investment will help improve Afghan security

Dubai: Economic uplift of Afghanistan through investment will help improve security and safety in the country, said Dr Anwar Gargash, UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Afghan International Investment Conference co-hosted by the UAE and Afghanistan in Dubai.

He said UAE will continue to play its role to help Afghanistan in its economic development and improve its security. "We will also serve as a vital link between Afghanistan and potential investor".

Dr Zalmai Rassoul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, and other top UAE and Afghan officials, diplomats and businessmen are attending the day-long conference.
