Abu Dhabi: Etihad Airways is kicking off the 2025 summer season with a broader range of holiday destinations, launching a new seasonal route to Al Alamein in Egypt and resuming flights to five popular European spots, the airline announced.

The new route to Al Alamein (DBB) begins on July 17, with two weekly flights to Egypt’s northern coast. Known for its Mediterranean charm and cultural heritage, Al Alamein offers UAE travellers a scenic and culturally rich getaway just a few hours away.

In addition to the new destination, Etihad has resumed summer flights to five sought-after cities in France, Spain, Greece, and Turkey:

  • Nice (NCE), France: Gateway to the French Riviera and coastal destinations like Cannes and Monaco.

  • Malaga (AGP), Spain: Ideal for exploring Andalucía, from the beaches of Marbella to cities like Seville and Granada.

  • Santorini (JTR) and Mykonos (JMK), Greece: Greek island escapes known for white-washed buildings, sunsets, and seaside charm.

  • Antalya (AYT), Turkey: A favourite Mediterranean destination for sun-seekers, relaunched from 17 June.

To mark the launch of the summer schedule, Etihad gifted passengers on the first flights with limited-edition Summer Kits — part of a seasonal experience the airline is rolling out to enhance holiday travel.

The expanded network is expected to boost tourism and offer more travel flexibility for UAE residents seeking cooler, coastal destinations through direct, short-haul flights.

Etihad’s summer routes are available for booking through the airline’s website and authorised travel agents.
