ADPC and Technovaa celebrate ground breaking ceremony at Kizad

Technovaa Packaging Industries Ltd will be investing Dh250 million to construct a manufacturing facility in Kizad in Abu Dhabi. The new facility will come up in 35,000 square meters of area in Kizad’s KP4, Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) said in a statement.
Technovaa Packaging is the industrial arm of Darvesh, a paper products and plastic film producers company.
Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, CEO of Adpc, and Chairman, Board of Directors, Kizad welcomed the setting up of the company.
“Kizad’s comprehensive intermodal transportation network and close proximity to Khalifa Port with market access to more than 4.5 billion potential customers and business partners worldwide will not only offer Technovaa Packaging Industries Ltd enhanced supply chain efficiencies but guarantee smooth, time and cost effective import and export activities.
Hassan Suleman Darvesh, Chairman, Darvesh, added: “Our new branch location provides unprecedented market access, especially through Khalifa Port, which will enable us to expand our export capacity. Our plan is to export 60% of our overall production volume from Kizad to European, Middle East & African markets and cater to the local demand.
Technovaa Industries’ new manufacturing facility in Kizad will be a state of the art facility that will further support their other branches in Dubai and Ras Al Khor, ADPC said in a statement.
The company also has manufacturing facilities outside the UAE including in some parts of the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe.
