Dubai: Ajman Free Zone Authority has introduced a new license category for e-commerce enterprises. The move is to facilitate online entrepreneurs’ partnership with the free zone. “Various reports suggest that B2C e-commerce sales alone will be in the range of $13-$15 billion (Dh48-Dh55 billion) by 2015 in the GCC from the current $3-$3.5 billion which is a lucrative opportunity to tap into,” said Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, general manager of AFZA. “By offering this new category of licence, AFZA is moving with the times with e-commerce transactions surging in the UAE and the region driven by the 72.5 million internet users.”
