Located in Al Ruwwaya, it will cost Dh10m and span 52,000 square feet
Dubai: The local Bridgestone tyre importer, Nasser Bin Abdullatif Alserkal Est., has started work on a Dh10 million facility spanning 52,000 square feet in the Al Ruwwaya area. This is being done in partnership with Dubai Municipality.
“The transport and commercial movement for import and re-export of trucks and heavy equipment will continue its growth, accompanied by increasing demand for a facility that can service and address all trucking needs of heavy vehicles passing through Dubai’s roads,” said Jumaa Al Fakaii, Director of Property Management Department, Dubai Municipality. “This will be the first ever truck and heavy equipment facility that will combine all trucks and heavy vehicles in one location.”
Truck sales in the UAE are expected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8 per cent until 2021. In this context, the Alserkal Bridgestone Truck Tyre Centre is seen as timely and strategic. It is up for completion late in the first quarter of 2018.
It will house a truck wash, repair facility and a registration and insurance counter. There will also be preventive maintenance services for trucks and trailers.
