Opec sets daily basket price for August 23 at $45.34

The bloc’s reference basket of crudes is made up of grades from all member countries

Vienna: The price of Opec’s basket of fourteen crudes stood at $45.34 (Dh166.53) a barrel on Tuesday, compared with $46.04 the previous day, according to Opec Secretariat calculations.

The Opec Reference Basket of Crudes (ORB) is made up of the following: Murban (UAE), Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Rabi Light (Gabon), Minas (Indonesia), Iran Heavy (Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia) and Merey (Venezuela).
