Nasdaq Dubai lists NZ$100m Emirates NBD bond

The bond is the first to list on a GCC exchange in New Zealand’s currency

DUBAI: Nasdaq Dubai, the region’s international stock exchange, has welcomed the listing of an NZ$100 million (US$78.1 million, Dh286 million) Conventional Bond by Emirates NBD.

The bond is the first to list on a GCC exchange in New Zealand’s currency. It is the fourth bond overall issued by Emirates NBD to list on the exchange.

Abdul Wahed Al Fahim, Chairman of Nasdaq Dubai, said, “We look forward to supporting further capital-raising by a variety of regional and global businesses using this asset class.”

The total nominal value of all conventional bonds listed on Nasdaq Dubai has now reached $6.8 billion. Emirates NBD is the largest issuer of these by value, with a total of $2.33 billion.
