Kingdom Holding shares tumble after arrest of Prince Alwaleed

The wider Tadawul index also falls over 2% as 11 princes, and 38 other officials arrested in anti-corruption drive

Dubai: Shares of Kingdom Holdings, in which the arrested Saudi’s billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal holds 95 per cent stake, tumbled nearly 10 per cent on Sunday, along with the broader Tadawul index.

Kingdom Holdings fell to its 52-week low of 9.26 Saudi riyals.

The broader Tadawul index also fell 2.08 per cent to be at 6,812.1 after 11 princes, and 38 other officials were arrested in anti-corruption drive.

Prince Alwaleed also holds key stakes in other global companies like Twitter, Citigroup, JD.com among others.
