Gulf stocks follow Friday oil rout in early morning trade

Trading down for Dubai Financial Market, Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange and Qatar Stock Exchange

Dubai: Gulf stock exchanges fell by as much as 3.45 per cent shortly after trade opened on Sunday. The fall follows Friday’s oil rout that saw benchmark Brent crude drop 4.53 per cent to $37.93

The Qatar Stock Exchange fell the biggest in early morning trade, down 3.45 per cent from Thursday to 9,669.52 as of 11:32AM

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) is trading down 1.91 per cent to 2,888.22 with Emaar leading the charge, falling 3.11 per cent. The Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange (ADX) is down 1.72 per cent to 4,016.01. Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul is trading down 0.74 per cent to 6,949.00
