Abu Dhabi: Financial markets will be closed from Thursday, August 31, 2017, to Sunday, September 3, 2017, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha, the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) announced in a circular on Saturday.
Trading will resume on Monday, September 4, 2017.
The break is in pursuant of Circular No (25) of 2017 issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) on the Eid Al Adha holiday.
It is up to the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) to decide when the holiday starts and ends according to requirements of work and public interest, the circular said.
