Arabtec gets Dh363m contract for Dubai South mall

Work on 83,000 square-metre development will commence this month

Dubai: Arabtec Holding said its unit has been awarded Dh363 million contract for the construction of the Dubai South Mall.

The project work will commence this month, the company said in a statement posted on Dubai Financial Market’s website.

Arabtec Construction has been awarded this project by the Joint Venture between Emaar Properties and Dubai World Trade Centre. The Dubai South Mall will have a built up area of approximately 83,000 square metres. The mall will be located in Dubai South which is a 145-square-kilometre city on Dubai’s southern border that encompasses the Al Maktoum International Airport, the Expo 2020 site and a major logistics district.
