Khalifa Port sees 31% rise in traffic

General, bulk cargo across Abu Dhabi Ports up 13%

Dubai: Abu Dhabi Ports, the master developer and operator of ports in the emirate, reported a 31 per cent increase in roll-on-roll-off traffic at Khalifa Port in the first quarter of 2016 compared to the same period last year.

General and bulk cargo across Abu Dhabi Ports also saw a 13 per cent upturn, standing at 3.98 million freight tonnes compared to 3.5 million in Q1 2015.

Q1 2016 results for Khalifa Port Container Terminal showed that it handled five per cent more containers compared to Q1 2015.
