Umbro becomes official kit supplier to Al Wasl FC

Dubai: Umbro and Al Wasl Football Company have confirmed a partnership that now sees the English sports brand become Al Wasl’s official kit supplier. The partnership between Umbro and Al Wasl FC started earlier this month, with the English sports brand providing match kit, training kit and off field wear for the senior team.

Ahmed Albalooshi, head of the media department at Al Wasl SC said, “We are happy to reach an agreement with Umbro to be our official kit supplier for the first team. Al Wasl Board of Directors always look for continuous improvement within every step the clubs take. The partnership with Umbro is not new to Al Wasl, as the first team wore Umbro products back in the eighties and nineties.

Long history

Umbro has a long history in designing sports products and kits, for nearly a century, and their great experience in logistics service and resources will help us achieve the vision and ambition for the ‘Club of the Century’ in UAE.” Tom Fonti Grzelak, head of brand at Umbro Mena, added: “Through our partnership with Al Wasl FC we have stated our intention to credibly support football in the UAE. Al Wasl FC is a club rich in history and success and we couldn’t wish for a better partner in the UAE to deepen Umbro’s connection with the sport, its fans and the wider football community.”

New bespoke kits

The new bespoke match kits will be announced prior the start of the 20/21 football season and will be designed in collaboration between Umbro and Al Wasl.
