UAE, Mexico sign air services deal

Deal aims to regulating air transport cooperation between the two countries

Abu Dhabi: The UAE and Mexico, on Wednesday signed the Air Transport Service Agreement at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi.

Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, signed on behalf of the UAE, while Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa , signed on behalf of her country.

The deal aims to regulate and develop the cooperation in the areas of air transport between the two countries through setting a legal framework to encourage the air fleets to provide their services.

Shaikh Abdullah and the Mexican Foreign Minister discussed the bilateral relations and ways to bolster them. The two sides also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region, as well as issues of mutual interest.

Shaikh Sultan Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Deputy Director of the Department of American and Pacific Affairs, Mohammad Bushahab, Director of the Department of American and Pacific Affairs, Mohammad Al Khaja, Director of the Office of Foreign Minister, Maria Gonzales. Adviser to Mexican Foreign Minister and Mexican Ambassador to UAE, Francisco Alonso, attended the meeting.
