Dubai: Ras Al Khaimah International Airport has experienced its busiest year to date, with record passenger numbers, aircraft movements and cargo handled across 2016, said Shaikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation of Ras Al Khaimah.
The airport has seen a record 471,432 passengers pass through it this year, an increase of 52 per cent compared to 2015. The emirate is projected to attract more than one million visitors by 2018, according to Shaikh Salem.
