Airline expands connectivity to over 15 global destinations
Doha: Qatar Airways unveiled an expanded winter schedule on Wednesday, increasing flight frequencies to more than 15 global destinations to meet growing demand for winter travel.
The airline, which operates out of its hub, Hamad International Airport (HIA), said a significant highlight of the new schedule is the airline’s highest-ever frequency to London Heathrow, now reaching up to 10 daily flights.
This enhanced service is complemented by British Airways' double-daily flights, offering a robust travel corridor between Doha and the UK capital.
Thierry Antinori, Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, said there is a consistent rise in demand for the airline’s services, particularly to key destinations like London, Dublin, Cape Town, and São Paulo.
"The latest increase in flight frequency is testament to our continual and unmatched enhancements of experiences for our passengers travelling through the Best Airport in the Middle East – our hub, Hamad International Airport," Antinori said.
The airline also announced new connectivity initiatives, including Virgin Australia's upcoming launch of flights from Melbourne to Doha, increasing to three daily services between the two cities in partnership with Qatar Airways. Additionally, Qatar Airways will restart services to Canberra, further strengthening its commitment to the Australian market.
