Abu Dhabi: Over 33,000 people attended various crew training courses in 2014 at the Emirates Aviation College, marking a record-breaking year for the college, with some crew members attending multiple courses in a year.
A statement from Emirates on Sunday said the company invested nearly Dh73 million in 2014 in cabin crew training, which saw a total of 4,280 new cabin crew graduating from the facility.
Meanwhile, 4,136 existing crew members trained for a cabin upgrade while 534 cabin crew members graduated to the rank of purser, among others.
