Dubai: A new transfer passenger screening facility has opened at Abu Dhabi International Airport as part of its capacity enhancement programme (CEP).
The facility, located in terminal 3, includes 16 new x-ray machines that the airport stated will enhance transfer passengers processing and movement from the arrival areas to the duty free and other departure facilities.
When completed, the enhancement programme will take the airport capacity from 16 million to 18 million passengers a year.
