Two concepts were built - a white convertible with a V8 and this silver hardtop coupe with an inline-six, however executives at General Motors thought it would hurt sales of the Chevrolet Corvette. So, it never made it to production.

The coupe was sold to a GM employee after its auto show service life had concluded, it began trading hands among collectors once the original owner passed away in 2006.

It has now come up for sale in Connecticut… at, of all places, a Kia dealership!

The car in question is a first-generation Banshee and even though it never got the green light, the nameplate had four generations, with concepts shown in 1964, 1968, 1974, and 1988.

The dealership, Napoli Kia, is asking for $750,000 for this rolling piece of GM history which must make it the most expensive vehicle ever offered by a Kia dealer!

Apparently it was only driven to shows which explains the low 1,498 miles on the clock. If you have the cash (and don’t mind the headache of explaining what it is to the RTA…), then go for it!
