Ford hits UAE, Gulf roads with 3 simultaneous Raptor launches for a world-first

Dubai: The ‘Raptors’ are hitting UAE and Gulf showrooms simultaneously - and that’s a world first, according to the US carmaker Ford.

“The Middle East offers an ideal environment for the Raptor to roam – and as the first region to be home to all three Ford Raptors, we’re proud to call it ‘Raptor Land’,” said Pedro Simões, Marketing Director, Ford Middle East.

The Middle East will be the first territory to have the Ford F-150 Raptor, Bronco Raptor, and Ranger Raptor all at once. “Raptor represents the pinnacle of Ford off-roading performance, and its unique DNA unites the three distinctive nameplates,” said Simões.

This includes the Bronco Raptor and built by Ford Performance to be the ‘world’s first Ultra4 Racing-inspired SUV’. The model’s 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine can deliver 418hp and 596Nm of torque.

Ranger Raptor

Carrying a 3.0-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, the second-generation version delivers up to 392hp and 583Nm torque to the FOX suspension system.

F-150 Raptor

The third introduction is the all-new Ford F-150 Raptor, bearing a new five-link rear suspension design and onboard tech ‘inspired by trophy trucks that race at Baja and Johnson Valley’. “A high-output 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine delivers more low-end torque, while a 10-speed automatic transmission and aluminum steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters make this pick-up easier to handle than ever,” the manufacturer said in a statement.

The newest F-150 Raptor updates include a two-speed 4x4 system with automatic torque-on-demand transfer case and 4.10 final drive ratio.
