The new Bentley Flying Spur’s multi-functional Touch Screen Remote (TSR) lets rear seat occupants increased control over the car’s range of luxury features.

The remote, which sits atop the rear centre console, held in place by integrated magnets, deploys at the touch of a button.

To tie in well with the Flying Spur’s handcrafted cabin, the TSR is finished in polished metal embellished with diamond knurling.

The TSR’s performance is driven by a four-core processor and 1GB of onboard RAM. The interface is a 1280 x 720 pixel display. It has a host of sensors including a three-axis accelerometer and a proximity sensor, which combined with haptic feedback make the TSR easy and intuitive to use. A 3200mAh Lithium-Polymer battery makes sure frequent charging is not required.

The TSR lets passengers configure their 14-way adjustable backrest and cushion, control six-setting seat heating and ventilation, five massage functions and armrest heating from a single screen. It grants passengers full control of air conditioning functions individually for both sides of the rear passenger compartment, including fan speed, temperature, air distribution and ionisers.

Cabin lighting can be controlled either by day or by night. The TSR controls the Flying Spur’s glass-to-glass panoramic sunroof and windows to allow natural light to seep in to the cabin or block it for a more subdued setting. It also lets the rear passengers see current speed, journey information, and outside temperature among others.
