The Open Championship, the last major of the year, will be held over the next four days at the Old Course in St Andrews. A host of players are in the event which is celebrating its 150th edition with many activities prior to the tee off.

Here is all about the first-round and the tee times:

— 156 players.

— 6.35am first tee time.

— Play in threeballs.

— 4.16pm last tee time of the day.

— Paul Lawrie (Scot) will hit the first tee shot.

— Ronan Mullarney (Ire) will hit the last tee shot tomorrow at 4.16pm.

— Each group will have three different coloured caddie bibs worn by the caddies: Red, Blue and Yellow.

— Number of Amateurs in the field — 6.

— 52 matches.
