Dubai-based sensation Chiara Noja has revealed she has played her last round as an amateur golfer as she gets set to play this week’s Dubai Moonlight Classic presented by EGA as a professional for the first time.

The 15-year-old, who plays off +7, made the announcement on her Instagram page ahead of her second outing at the only night tournament in world golf.

“I’m so excited to announce that I will be playing the Dubai Moonlight Classic next week, I’m thrilled to tee it up as a professional!” said Noja in an Instagram post.

Having played just four amateur events across the last two seasons due to the ongoing pandemic, Noja had been honing her game in professional events on the Ladies European Tour (LET) Access Series.

The youngster has played a total of five tournaments on the official development tour of the LET, with her best result coming at the Golf Flanders LETAS Trophy, where she became the youngest player in the tour’s history to finish as runner-up.

Noja will join at elite field of golfing superstars on the Faldo course, including double Solheim Cup winning captain Catriona Matthew, seven-time LET Order of Merit champion Laura Davies and Thai sisters Ariya and Moriya Jutanugarn from October 27-29.
