Jamie Camero (The Els Club) shot a one under par gross 70 to win the 2022 Ping Dubai Creek Summer Open at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.

In this shotgun start format, 16 year-old Jamie began her round on hole 7B and made a solid start and was one under par after five holes. However, a disappointing run of three bogeys in five holes from the 12th hole, saw her go two over for her round.

A birdie three on the 264 yards par 4, 17th hole saw her play holes 10 – 18 in 38.

Another birdie on the first was countered by a bogey on third, but then the turning point in the round happened, an eagle three on the fourth hole followed by two pars, for a holes 1 – 9 total of 32 and a gross 70 to secure her win by two shots.

Flagship event

Runner-up was Rohit Menon (DCGYC) with a 72, alongside third placed Tejan Fadlu-Deen (DCGYC).
