Appaiah wins Emirates Golf Club’s Ladies Monthly Medal on Faldo Course

Emirates Golf Club hosted the Ladies Monthly Medal which saw 45 golfers compete on the Faldo Course.

The overall winner of the Silver A Division (0-14) was Arathi Appaiah with a net 68. Arathi went on a magnificent run on the back nine which included gross birdies on holes 10, 15 and 17 which led her to shoot a gross 34. the runner-up was Wonjeong Lee with a net 72, the highlight of Wonjeong’s round came at the start of the back nine where she made net birdies on holes 10 and 11. In third place was Anne Gely

In Silver B Division (15-23) Ninu Smith was victorious with a net 74. Ninu had a very strong finish to her front nine as she made a net birdie on holes 7, 8 and 9 which was followed up by a net birdie on hole 12. In Second place was Haide Wright with a net 74, the highlight of Haide’s round came on the 12th hole where she had a gross birdie. Third was Josie Tracey with a net 77 who had a very strong start to her back nine making a gross birdie on hole 11.

The Bronze Division (24-36) was won by Marie Benson with a net 76, this was aided by a strong finish to her front nine where she made two net birdies on holes 7 and 8. Runner up was Petra Meijer with a net 77, Petra had back to back net birdies in her back nine.

The best gross of the day was won by Jayshree Gupta. Jayshree carded a gross score of 78 which included 8 gross pars on the back nine.
