Emirates Golf Club also hosted the annual Captains Matchplay Challenge which saw 32 pairings compete against each other representing either Amarjeet Radia’s Lady Captains Team or Abdulfattah Sharaf’s Captains Team. There was a lot of good golf played on the day with plenty of competitive action but as always most importantly lots of smiles from the faces of our members. The Member Colleague Scramble took place at Emirates Golf Club with a 108 golfer’s competing on the Faldo Course. The overall winners of the Member/Colleague were Caroline Granger, Marie Benson, Jonathan O’Brien and Oliver Ravenscroft with a net 51. Image Credit: Supplied

The Ladies Mutt & Jeff Competition was held at the Emirates Golf Club which saw 16 ladies compete on the Faldo Course in a Stableford format that only allows points to be scored on par 3s and par 5s. The overall winner with a Better Back 6 was Wright who scored 18 points. Image Credit: Supplied

Jumeirah Golf Estates hosted The Park Hyatt Dubai Ladies in a fun and exciting Team of 3 Cha-cha-cha format over the Fire Course. The Cha-cha-cha format is the best score on hole 1, best 2 scores on hole 2, best 3 scores on hole 3 back to best score on hole 4 and so on. There were some fantastic scores being posted in the blustery morning weather, however the greens were in beautiful condition. The May edition of The Park Hyatt Dubai Ladies was won by the team of Sheila McIlroy, Sara Chadwick, and Jacqueline de Vries with a brilliant 79 points (7 under). Image Credit: Supplied
