The onus on implementation also lies with the people who must take wearing masks seriously and maintain social distancing protocols. Too many lives have been lost to the coronavirus. It is time to fight the virus with all our resources. Now, she wants to make seeing South Asians in global TV shows and movies a normal thing. Amid discussions about representation that have been going on for years, it’s important that the actors themselves start creating opportunities. Leaving it in the hands of production houses might mean diversity is never achieved. Chopra Jonas opened the door and instead of closing it behind her, she wants to hold it open for others.
