Dubai Fitness Challenge – how to register and all the activities you can plan for
Dubai: From October 29, Dubai residents will get a boost in their fitness regime, as the entire city participates in the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2021. Since 2017, the challenge has been giving residents a month-long opportunity to get healthier, by committing to be active for 30 minutes a day for 30 days.
Here is all you need to know about what the fitness challenge is and how you can participate.
How long is the fitness challenge for?
This year's challenge will run from October 29 to November 27 2021.
How can I register?
You can register by simply visiting www.dubaifitnesschallenge.com
Once you have registered, you can participate in events and classes are organised throughout the city. You would also need to book your place in special classes organised for the challenge by visiting the website - www.dubaifitnesschallenge.com
Dubai Ride and Dubai Run are back
One of Dubai Fitness Challenge’s most popular events is Dubai Ride, which allows cyclists to choose between a 14-kilometre general route around Sheikh Zayed Road or a 4km fun ride with family and friends around Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard. The event will take place on November 5 and participation requires registration at dubairide.com.
Dubai Run is also making a return on November 26. There will be a 5km route for families and a 10km for athletes, with both starting next to Emirates Towers Metro Station on Sheikh Zayed Road. Registration is open on www.dubairun.com and participants are required to collect their bibs in advance for the event.
Three Fitness Villages
The Dubai Fitness Challenge will also have special events taking place at three fitness villages at the following locations:
1. Kite Beach
2. Expo 2020 Dubai
3. Mushrif Park
There will also be Fitness Hubs in business and residential communities across the city, with over 5,000 free live and virtual fitness classes, including HIIT training, yoga, spinning and water sports.
Dubai Padel Cup
The 2021 edition of DFC will also see the addition of the Dubai Padel Cup, which includes three-days of exhibition matches at several locations in Dubai, featuring some of the world’s top-ranked professionals, as well as a dedicated championship for amateur players.
