Valentino spreads its wings to India

The Italian Maison de Couture has just announced its first foray into the Indian market



Valentino will launch in India with a boutique in Delhi, before the opening of a flagship location in Mumbai.

Valentino has just announced that the Italian fashion label is entering the Indian market for the first time with a distribution agreement with Reliance, the Indian retail giant with a portfolio of homegrown designers as well as iconic names like Armani, Hugo Boss, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tiffany & Co., Tod’s, Versace, and many more.

The first boutique operating under the Valentino name will open in Delhi by the end of the summer, closely followed by Valentino’s flagship location in Mumbai.

Valentino’s launch in India is a significant step in the label’s global growth strategy. Currently, the brand is present in 213 Valentino boutiques and over 1,100 points of sale. The Delhi boutique will open with 162 square metres of floorspace featuring women’s and selected men’s collections, while the Mumbai flagship store will carry “the whole Valentino universe: a complete range across womenswear, menswear, and Valentino Garavani accessories that include shoes, bags, small leather goods, scarves, ties, eyewear and fragrances.
