Ajman Police offer 50 per cent discount on traffic fines to mark the UAE National Day
Dubai: Ajman Police have announced to give 50 per cent discount on traffic fines starting December 2, 2020. The special discount will be valid for a month.
The discount has been announced as part of the UAE National Day Celebrations. Motorists will be given discount on all traffic fines issued before November 23, 2020.
The discount covers all traffic violations existing in a motorist’s traffic file for Ajman except driving a vehicle in a way that endangers the motorist's life or the lives, safety or security of others, making changes to the vehicle's engine or chassis without a licence, violating the precautionary measures, instructions and duties imposed to limit the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic issued according to the decision of the Attorney General No. 38 of 2020, amended by Resolution No. 54.
The decision was announced by Major General Shaikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, following directives from Shaikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, on the occasion of the 49th National Day of UAE .
Major General Al Nuaimi said that the reduction decision came to facilitate the payment of violators to reduce the severity of the economic and social impacts that the world is witnessing during this period. He called on vehicle owners to expedite the payment of violations and take advantage of the discount granted within the specified period, avoid committing violations and accidents and abide by traffic rules and guidelines, wishing safety for all.
Payment of fines during the discount period can be done only through Ajman Police or the Ministry of Interior, he added.
