VIGILANCE AGAINST SCAMMERS: In the digital age, buying tickets has never been easier. We eagerly await the arrival of our favourite artists and performances, and many of us naturally turn to online sources. However, a recent cautionary tale, unveiled by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), highlights the danger associated with procuring counterfeit tickets from dubious sources. A fan was lured by what appeared to be a golden opportunity on a social media platform, and diligently followed their instructions, which included the so-called "validation of a code.” On the day of the concert, the grim truth emerged. As he presented his electronic tickets, he was met with a shocking revelation: the tickets were null and void. He was not the only one ensnared by this digital deception. The story of this young man underscores the necessity for due diligence and heightened awareness is more critical than ever. Let us remember this tale and ensure that we protect ourselves against ticket scammers who prey on our passion for live entertainment.
