Art rendezvous

Dubai, the iconic architectural haven designed by the late Zaha Hadid, returns with its new Cultural Connections initiative, this time in collaboration with Andakulova Gallery Dubai. Immerse yourself in the captivating and colourful artworks of Uzbekistan artist Timur Akhmedov at Andakulova Gallery’s two-month long residency for ME Dubai’s latest Cultural Connections showcase. Timur Akhmedov’s solo exhibition is titled “ME tamorphosis of Colours” and is on until October 8, 2023.

2-day festive pop-up

Showroom 4.0, an exquisite showcase of the latest designs and captivating fashion pieces from renowned clothing designers will be held on September 8 and 9, 2023, from 10am to 8pm at Anantara Downtown Hotel, Business Bay, Dubai. The 2-day event is in association with Vesimi, a leading multi designer store in Dubai. Showroom 4.0 brings festive prêt, occasion wear, and kids wear all under one roof.

It's all been done before

Get set for an evening of fun, laughter, and reflection as an anthology of plays by Dubai based playwright Sanjeev Dixit opens at The Junction, Al Serkal Avenue, Dubai. Titled It's all Been Done Before, there will be eight short plays in one evening on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd September 2023 .Written and Directed by Dubai-based playwright Sanjeev, each play is its own unique microcosm, and put together the show is a mélange of emotions. Immersive experience

The ninth season of Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) opens with N O W I S W H E N W E A R E (the stars) by Andrew Schneider. The immersive, multimedia theatrical installation uses thousands of reactive lights and hundreds of speakers to create an interactive theatrical cosmos in a unique experience. The show, which has two versions – a narrative version for only eight audience members at a time, and an installation version for up to 40 people - runs September 10.
