Surprise celebrity wedding announcements: From Devoleena Bhattacharjee to Sana Khan these Indian TV stars surprised fans

While some celebrities like to share their romance with fans while others keep their private lives under wraps. For the latter group, wedding announcements are often very surprising to fans. Here are some of the most surprising wedding announcements from the Indian TV industry.

Most recently, fans were kept guessing when video and photos of Indian TV actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee did the rounds on social media. A video from her haldi ceremony, a pre-wedding ritual, was shared online and fans reportedly thought the shots were from a music video until the star shared pictures and made an announcement.

Another sudden announcement that pleasantly surprised fans was that of former actress Sana Khan. She had gone through a bad break up which was known to the public but it was only after her wedding photos were released that Khan’s marriage became public-knowledge. She married Surat-based businessman Maulana Anas Saiyad and the couple completed two years of marital bliss on November 20.

'Devon Ke Dev' actor Mohit Raina is yet another star who had a very private wedding. His wife’s name is Aditi Sharma and she is not from the entertainment field. He announced his wedding on social media on January 1 this year with photos.

Neha Kakkar surprised everyone when she revealed videos of her wedding with singer Rohanpreet Singh, soon after she had faced a break-up. It was so out of the blue that some assumed it was a stunt. However, the happy couple confirmed they were indeed married.

Gaurav Chopra got married to Hitisha Cheranda in a surprise wedding in 2018. The actor hadn’t ever talked about his relationship with Hitisha, who is not from the entertainment industry. According to reports, their marriage was a private one attended by close friends and family.
