Dubai to have 'world's largest' logistics hub for trading foodstuffs, fruits, vegetables

Move to make Dubai a destination for markets, export, re-export operations for the region

Dubai: Dubai Municipality and DP World signed an agreement to develop the world's largest logistics hub for trading foodstuffs, fruit and vegetables, as the Emirate looks to link the zone to global markets and double the current size of itsfruit and vegetable market.

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, highlighted how the logistics hub will address the increasing demands of society, while also aiming to streamline customer transactions through a unified interface, ensuring smooth and efficient procedures.

“I witnessed the signing of an agreement between Dubai Municipality and DP World to develop the world's largest logistics hub for trading foodstuffs, fruits and vegetables," Sheikh Maktoum said in a post shared on his official X account.
