Ren Zhengfei says company's 5G plans not affected by US moves

Beijing: Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei said Tuesday the United States underestimates his company, and that the telecom giant’s 5G plans are not affected amid US moves to block its global ambitions.
“The current practice of US politicians underestimates our strength,” Ren said in an interview with Chinese state media, adding that the company has a stockpile of chips and “can’t be isolated” from the world.
