Kings Group Hospitality expands with 12th outlet, Amritsr Restaurant, in Dubai's JLT
Dubai: Kings Group Hospitality (KGH), one of the fastest-growing food service providers in the Middle East and Far East, has opened its 12th outlet, Amritsr Restaurant.
Located in Cluster X, Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), Amritsr Restaurant began operations on May 20, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences, according to a media release.
JLT is one of Dubai's most sought-after residential neighborhoods, home to more than 100,000 people within a 2-square-kilometer area. It also hosts a thriving professional community, with numerous office workers frequenting neighborhood restaurants.
Investment in the UAE’s restaurant sector is driving rapid growth, with the food services market expected to increase from US$19.98 billion in 2024 to US$44.5 billion by 2029—more than doubling in five years.
As a key player, Kings Group Hospitality currently operates 12 outlets under the Amritsr, Punjab, and China King brands in the UAE and Thailand. KGH is aggressively expanding its footprint, investing resources to capture a larger market share. As the market evolves, KGH is playing a crucial role in shaping the future of food service in the region, setting new standards for innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.
KGH’s journey began in India in 1970, when CEO Manjit Singh laid the foundation for what would become a global food service brand. Over the past 52 years, KGH has earned a reputation for delivering high-quality dining experiences across its various brands. The company entered the UAE market in 2010 with the launch of Kulcha King, quickly expanding to 13 outlets by 2016. The sale of Kulcha King to Wakira Investments for Dh28 million marked a turning point, enabling KGH to diversify and reach new heights.
Under the leadership of Managing Director Vicky M. Sethi, KGH has continued to expand its portfolio, growing its workforce to more than 550 professionals, all dedicated to upholding the company’s high standards of service and quality.
KGH’s brands cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences. The Amritsr brand, renowned for its authentic North Indian cuisine, has become a favorite among both locals and tourists. Punjab by Amritsr, a purely vegetarian restaurant, has gained attention for its innovative approach to vegetarian cuisine, offering dishes that replicate the flavors and textures of non-vegetarian fare. China King, KGH’s latest venture, brings the rich and diverse flavors of Chinese cuisine to the UAE, further enhancing the company's portfolio.
Vicky M. Sethi, Managing Director of KGH, emphasizes the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence. “At Kings Group Hospitality, our mission is to consistently deliver an unparalleled food experience to our customers. We believe in the power of innovation and are constantly exploring new ways to enhance our offerings. The UAE’s dynamic market presents endless opportunities, and we are committed to expanding our presence while maintaining the high standards our customers expect,” says Sethi.
The company plans to introduce new concepts and brands to cater to the evolving tastes of the market while continuing to provide the quality and service that have become synonymous with its name.
“The future of the food service industry in the UAE is bright, and we are excited to be part of it. At KGH, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in this industry, and we look forward to continuing to serve our customers with the passion and dedication that has defined our journey,” Sethi adds.
