Al-Futtaim Hino closes in on 50% marketshare

Commercial vehicle brand made inroads into FMCG sector as well as for delivery services

Dubai: Al-Futtaim Hino, the dealership for Hino light commercial vehicles, has seen its UAE marketshare touch the 47 per cent mark in May, compared with the 12 per cent it had in 2015.

Hino registered a growth of 23 per cent in the last 12 months, thanks to its increased sales in the FMCG and goods delivery operators sectors.

Looking to the next six months, the dealer is expecting a “steady” performance, with an increased focus on an aftersales’ “total support” concept, where experts from Al-Futtaim HINO team provide eco-driving training to partners’ drivers and help them optimize total cost of truck ownership.

The training will help fleet owners improve fuel efficiency, minimise the cost of wear and tear, reduce service and maintenance costs as well as insurance premiums and decrease the risk of major road accidents.
