COVID-19: 271 people test positive in Qatar

Dubai: Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health today recorded 271 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), taking the total number of confirmed infections to 115,080.

Meanwhile, a total of 289 COVID-19 patients recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of patients recovered in Qatar to 111,794.

Additionally, one death for a patient aged 74, was reported, which takes the country’s death toll to 193.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The ministry said it conducted 4988 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 551273 tests. There are 41 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.

Five patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 74.
