Indian man drowns at Sharjah Beach

Al Buhairah Police investigate and urge people not to swim in areas with warning signs



Sharjah: A 24-year-old Indian man drowned in the Al Layyeh area of Sharjah Beach on Saturday morning.

Police received a call at about 4.30am. The man’s body was recovered and moved to Kuwaiti Hospital at around 5am.

The body was later moved to the forensics laboratory for an autopsy.

Police in Al Buhairah have launched an investigation into the incident and are appealing to the public to avoid swimming in areas where warnings signs are displayed.
