At least 20 dead in Myanmar communal unrest: police

Meiktila, Myanmar: At least 20 people have been killed in three days of communal rioting in central Myanmar, a police officer told AFP Friday, adding the actual toll may be higher.

“We have confirmation that at least 20 people have been killed,” the officer said, requesting anonymity. “We estimate that it could be higher but it is difficult for us to gather all the figures.”
