Tehran: Iran's Sunni rebel leader on Thursday said his faction was willing to hold talks with the Shiite-led government.
Abdolmalek Rigi told Al Arabiya television that Jundollah (God's Soldiers), which Tehran says is linked to Al Qaida, was open to dialogue with the ruling government "in the presence of an international institution."
In an interview he said: "If we were allowed to practice our rights in full, we are willing to drop weapons and enter political life."
The leader said the group was also considering expanding its operations to represent all Sunnis in Iran.
The rebels currently operate mostly near the border with Pakistan.
