Cairo: Twenty-three people were killed and more than 130 injured in a train derailment north of the Egyptian capital Cairo at the weekend, prosecutors said on Tuesday.

The previous official toll was 11 dead in Sunday’s accident, which came three weeks after a deadly train collision in the North African country.
