Car bomb strikes southern Baghdad district

Baghdad: At least nine people were killed and 13 wounded in a car bomb in southern Baghdad on Sunday, police said.

The bomb blast occurred on a busy commercial street in the predominantly Shiite Bayaa area, police said, adding the death toll could rise.
